Continuing on in Asia

This week we learned about the India Peafowl. Don't forget to ask us at home what we know about the Indian Peafowl!

We also worked hard on our team tasks of recreating pictorials of the animals we have been learning about.

I went to Krispy Kreme on National Pirate Day. There were pirates at the door. One of them gave me a pretend gun another gave me her pirate hat and I walked into the store and I got a dozen donuts for dressing as a pirate.

Entering Asia & Writer's Notebooks!

This week we were excited to start learning about Asia and it's animals! So far we know where Asia is located on the world map. Where the highest (Mr. Everest) and lowest (Dead Sea) points are in Asia and an overview of the Giant Panda.

On Friday we were able to decorate our writer's notebooks. We enjoyed this project and came up with very creative covers that really reflect things each of us enjoy. We can't wait to get started writing in our new notebooks!

Blog from Aabha Ranade

All about my trip to Old Sacramento this labor day.
On labor day, we went to see Gold rush days in Old Sacramento.
There were different activities like making butter and biscuits from scratch.
There were horse carriage rides and train rides.
We took both rides and also had ice cream after that.
It was soooo much fun!

My Soccer Team by Isaac B.

My soccer team's name is Power Blast. I have been playing on this team for three years. It is fun to play soccer because you get so tired out while you dribble the ball. You also get to play other teams. Also it's fun because it is a big field to run in. This year we're using a bigger field and have goalies because we are older. So it tires us out even more than last year.  It is really fun when I get to play goalie because I like to do drop kicks with the ball.

I also have played indoor soccer with my same team. Indoor soccer is different because the ball doesn't go out so much it just bounces back in. Also, the indoor games are shorter time than the outside games like 20 minutes only. My teammates and I even had fun kicking the soccer ball while we waited for our turn to be back in the game (on the side team box). Some of my teammates' names are Lucas, Ryan, Anthony, and Brandon. I hope my team has a great season!
