This week we logged into our our Google accounts for the first time! With the help of a few second grade friends, we were all successfully able to log on. We also had another first with our first team task of the year. We recreated a world map labeling the seven continents and the oceans.

During summer vacation I went to Disneyland. I went to the Jedi Training Academy. My favorite part was when I got to fight Darth Vader. It was very exciting!

A Look Back at the Second Week of School
We are now ten days into school and moving right along. Here's a video of us doing our Bears Here, Bears There chant!

Our focus this week was on the Black Bear. We learned about their habitats, diets, physical features and some interesting facts about them.
We have also been busy writing. Here's a story we wrote as a class about the day the playground when missing.

2015-2016 First Week Back

Welcome to First Grade 2015-2016
For those of you who were unable to attend yesterdays meet the teacher. I am Mrs. Kahler and I will be your teacher this year as you Dive into First Grade! We will be discovering new places, animals and habitats as we venture around the world learning about the seven continents. I look forward to seeing everyone Monday!
